Your first session,
one decision at a time.
Start with the routine you can maintain. Bigger purchases can wait until you understand your shift and bills.
1. Enter through the official game
Open Lagos Life ↗. Use its own account controls and walkthrough. Read any starting option on screen before choosing: this guide does not promise a particular starting balance, job or free home.
2. Stabilise your needs
The public help recommends keeping your needs bars healthy. It points to home objects for food, sleep and hygiene, and mentions Chowdeck for food delivery. Inspect an action's displayed cost and effect before using it; the cheapest option depends on what your character can access.
3. Choose work, then attend it
Open Phone → Jobs in the game. Read the pay, eligibility and schedule for an available role. Choosing a job is separate from attending a shift. The help says to use Go to work when the shift is available, and describes a Go automatically option. Follow the current controls rather than assuming an old schedule applies.
4. Record what a completed shift pays
Compare your balance before and after a shift, keeping any other purchases or transfers separate. If your observed pay differs from the job listing, use the observed amount when planning. A future promotion or bonus is not income you already have.
5. Reserve the next bills
Check your housing screen for rent and any unpaid amount. Add any loan repayment and routine food or transport spending. Enter them into the budget calculator. The result is a plan based on your inputs, not a prediction of the game server.
A useful first-session checklist
- I know the official address and have read the game's account terms.
- I have checked needs before a long activity.
- I can name my job, its requirements and the next shift.
- I have written down rent and other bills from my own game screen.
- I have a positive budget after essential spending, or know what to change.
Continue with choosing a manageable job and checking the cost of a home.
